Why you should Care about the RNC Shake-up

What History Tells us

Well, it’s official Donald Trump has completely taken over the RNC. This is not just the normal national committee direction a presidential candidate gets.

It should be so much more worrying. My warning bells have been going off since his first rally in 2015. There were too many similarities to the Nazis.

This takeover has echoes in the fall of the Weimer Republic in the 1930s.

Misjudgments by German Conservatives in the 1930s

1932 Nazi party became the largest party in the Reichstag. The conservative leaders offered Hitler the Chancellorship.

They believed they could control him and accomplish their goals. By harnessing his popularity. Sound familiar? He was sworn in January 30, 1933.

The Reichstag fire was February 27th, 1933. History records that it was set by a Dutch communist found near the burning building in the aftermath.

This incident allowed Adolf Hitler to pass legislation that allowed 1. anyone who spoke against the Nazis to be imprisoned; 2. allowed the Nazis to ignore the Reichstag in enforcing laws.

6 months later the Nazi takeover of Germany was complete. When President Hindenburg died…
